“May 2012, an anniversary of the most famous theme of the most famous Cordoba was celebrated. We went with Hernán Laurino, with whom we were partners in Day to day, to interview him. We had several ideas on how to face the note and the photo, which varied in the way of its realization. The first one was to make a photographic production with Jiménez drinking from a box of wine, ”recalls Bravo.

“Quite difficult to get at any kiosk near the house of‘ la Mona ’. There is no, cheap wine is not sold in that area. We went around several times to get it, and there we went to take the pictures. Second idea, replace the brand and logo of Vino Toro with ‘Vino Mona’. There was no time to do it, the note was extended more than expected. When we returned to the newspaper's writing we were quite urgent for the time, so it was sent to print without alterations, ”he continues.

And he concludes: “Third idea, get Jiménez to drink. He refused. We insist for a while. If he didn't drink, in any case, it seemed like he drank. Not without resistance, he agreed. And the last idea, publish the note with the photo and run the fate of any newspaper article: fall into oblivion after a short time. The latter seems to be the most difficult, first because that has not happened, but has also become meme, viral, in sticker for the WhatsApp. The most viewed version says: "It's Friday and Slash knows it."

However, that moment arrived and he began to take some pictures, but then he put the camera away and forgot about it for a few hours. “It was not until the other day, when I downloaded the memory card, that I discovered what I had obtained. He could not believe it: he had managed to capture what he had assumed an urban legend last night; I felt like I had taken a picture of the Yeti. ”

Sánchez Delgado uploaded it to his Facebook and soon after it went viral in a difficult way to predict.

In April 2007, Pueblo Mestizo was scheduled, a festival organized by Héctor "Perro" Emaides that sought to gather different artistic expressions in the General Paz Sports Center. Unfortunately, in those years the musical mergers were not as natural as it happens in our days, hence when the producer announced that "the Mona" was one of the programmed numbers, some people soon raised their voices to complain, because They did not want audiences to "mix."

The result was that Emaides had to unsubscribe the Jiménez show and a feeling of intolerance that was difficult to understand today was left in the air. At that time, The voice of the interior he reflected it with a cover report written by Germán Arrascaeta in which he gave an account of the unfortunate event, accompanied by an image that the years became emblematic: a photomontage of La Gioconda Leonardo da Vinci with the face of the mandamás quartetero, in charge of Norma Sánchez, then editor of morning photography. The title was eloquent: Mona sandpaper.

From this circumstance, YOU He brought them together and called Alejandro Arias Bazán to make them up as two of the members of Kiss. As Palazzo acknowledged on more than one occasion, that cover occupies a special place in his office, since he framed it and hung it on one of the walls.
