The most awaited festival of the year, Diwali is here. It is the festival of light and togetherness where we worship Lord Ganesha and Goddess Lakshmi and enjoy with our near and dear ones. The celebration of the festival lasts for five days, starting two days prior to Diwali and lasting two days after Diwali.
Dhanteras marks the beginning and the festival ends on the day of Bhai dooj, which is celebrated two days after Diwali.
The festival is the celebration of the victory of good over evil. On this day it is believed that Lord Ram came back to Ayodhaya after being in vanwas for 14 long years.
People exchange gifts with their friends and family, burn crackers, play cards, tambola and several other games to enjoy the festival.

Day 1 Diwali festival is on October 25, Friday – Dhanteras
Day 2 Diwali festival is on October 26, Saturday – Hanuman Puja or Chhoti Diwali
Day 3 Diwali festival is on October 27, Sunday – Lakshmi Puja, Diwali
Day 4 Diwali festival is on October 28, Monday – Govardhan Puja
Day 5 Diwali festival is on October 29, Tuesday – Bhaiya Dooj
People clean their houses to welcome Goddess Diwali who is believed to visit the houses on this day.
