All these funny photos of Paris (almost) empty that can only be done during the "day without a car" – France Inter

Sunday, the city of Paris organizes the fifth "day without car". Thus, no vehicle – two wheels and electric cars included – will be prohibited to circulate from 11 to 18 hours. A rare opportunity to immortalize the capital … without the least cap.

No vehicles will be allowed to circulate in the intramural capital, Sunday. This is the "car free day", fifth of the name organized by the city of Paris. So, cars, trucks, two-wheelers and electric vehicles included will not be able to roll in the capital from 11am to 18h, except peripheral. Only buses, emergency vehicles, taxis and VTC will be able to circulate at 30km / h maximum. In the first four districts, they will even have to reduce their speed to 20 km / h.

It is therefore the whole city that, for a day, is reserved for pedestrians, bicycles, rollerblades. The opportunity to enjoy the capital and its large and historic squares, streets. Here are some photos of Paris (during the 2018 edition) as we see it rarely, without (almost) no car.

Rue de Rivoli, the only cars present are … parked

Place de l'Opéra, pedestrians keep good habits
